Hosts Chris and Mignone Wood introduced us to old wines in their new home, a gorgeous 3-story pied-à-terre on Telegraph Hill in San Francisco. The 1985 Napa cabs from their wine cellar showed that they were well cared for, and any thoughts that it might become a “cork tasting” quickly went away. The weather was great, the wines were delightful, and much of the fun was seeing their new place (their main home remains in Tahoe). Thanks to Chris and Mignone for sharing their long-ago acquisitions at their long-ago prices.
