The tasting at the Felton’s beautiful home provided the perfect setting with warm weather and a beautiful sunset.

This was a tasting of mature red Bordeaux wines that were currently available at retail with the hope of selecting one for this year’s Repast.  Because we will be back at the French Club this year, we want to serve all French wine.  The Bordeaux we have in the Cellar Society cellar was not yet ready to drink.

The wines were sourced from K&L, which had over 20 Bordeaux from the 2000 to 2010 vintages in the price range of $30 to $70.

The dinner was provided by Enrico Filippelli from Cerri Catering, which prepared “Fall Off the Bone” lamb shanks.
