This year we returned to our tradition of a November champagne tasting with the intention of choosing one for the repast. No need to cellar these, as they are ready to drink when bottled. With a relatively warm night, the pretasting was ourdoors in a beautiful courtyard.

The tasting format was modified to separately rank each group:
4 pretasting Roses
4 Blanc de Blancs
4 Blanc de Noirs

Roses (pretasting): These were judged by a hand count of first places votes only.

Blanc de Noirs: Bottles 11 & 12 did not receive the correct number of votes, but we didn’t spend the time correcting the figures due to the room curfew and an obvious winner regardless of a recount.
