A spectacular Repast was held at the Claremont Country Club in Oakland. The private setting of our room was ideal for mingling beforehand while the Hors d’oeurvres paired very nicely with the Gosset champagne.
After sitting down to dinner, Chris Wood gave a toast to the late Dick DeAtley who was co-host of the Repast with his wife Beth and died very suddenly just 2 weeks earlier: “A fun and ebullient gentleman, who lived a life full of joy. It is Beth’s wish that the Repast be a fun event and that would have been Dick’s wish, too. All members are invited to attend his Celebration of Life on Dec. 17 and show their respects at that event.”

Come join us for our annual Repast at the beautiful Claremont Country Club (not to be confused with the Claremont Hotel). Located in the Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland, it is one of the pre-eminent private clubs in the Bay Area. Several of us toured the facility to meet with the Chef and visited the spacious and private Garden Room which we will have all to ourselves for this event. It has its own fireplace and piano, and will decorated for the holidays with two Christmas trees and garland hanging from the ceilings. See photos from our visit:
