This tasting featured Pinot Noir wines from Argentina, Australia, Chile, New Zealand and South Africa. Our hosts, David and Betty, hope that the January 2024 wine planning meeting will designate one tasting in 2024 for North American Pinot Noirs. The tasting was followed by a delicious buffet Italian dinner catered by Ruben, prior owner and chef of Mescolanza.
The winner was the 2019 Mount Edwards from New Zealand. Surprising, it was the second least expensive wine in the group, beating six wines that were double its price or more.
